The apparatus of the invention is essentially applicable to shellfish farms where the shellfish grow on concrete blocks arranged at regular intervals along a submerged cord suspended from a beam or table. The apparatus is noteworthy, particularly in that it consists of a conveyor upstream of which is either a detaching means or a dressing means, the latter two being removable.
