PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for operation to switch a reception frequency band by allowing the titled device to search automatically other reception frequency band if no broadcast signal is detected after the result of search of one reception frequency band. CONSTITUTION:When an up-down counter 37 applies counting to search an AM broadcast band, if no braodcast signal is detected, the counter 37 supplies a detection disable signal to a frequency band switching circuit 39. The switch circuit 39 feeds a reception frequency band switch control signal to a control logic 31 based on the detection disable signal. The logic 31 supplies a control pulse to the counter 37, which searches again a broadcast signal on a newly designated frequency band.
