PURPOSE:To reduce a consumption of an used water by treating the color photosensitive material which is composed of a silver halide emulsion layer contg. cyanogen couplers shown by the formulas I and II and is formed on a substrate, with a specific compd. shown by formula III. CONSTITUTION:The predescribed emulsion layer comprises at least one of the cyanogen couplers composed of the compd. shown by formula I wherein R1 is an alkyl or a cycloalkyl group, R2 is an alkyl group, R3 is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, Z1 is a hydrogen atom, and also the compd. shown by formula wherein R4 is an alkyl or a cycloalkyl group, R5 is >=2C alkyl group, R6 is a hydrogen atom, Z2 is a hydrogen atom.
