PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a static electricity and reduce the dispersion of color formation by containing highly effective water-absorbing high polymer in a heat-sensitive recording material with a heat sensitive color- forming layer composed mainly of leuco dye and developer on a support. CONSTITUTION:Highly effective water-absorbingk high polymers are of such groups as starch, cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, acrylics, and crosslinking polyethylene oxide. The highly effective water-absorbing high copolymer can be used for at least one of the constituent parts of a heat sensitive recording material, e.g. a support, an undercoat layer, a color forming layer and a back coat layer. Also two or more different kinds of high polymer can be used in proper combination. The leuco dye is such as used customarily for this type of heat sensitive recording material. In addition, the deverloper is such as applied to the leuco dye; namely, phenol substance, organic and inorganic acids or their salts and esters. |
