<p>PURPOSE:To prevent surely an upward camber during rolling of a material to be rolled by increasing the peripheral speed of an upper roll by the command from an arithmetic circuit when the front end of the material to be rolled approaches rolling rolls up to a prescribed distance. CONSTITUTION:The top end position of the material to be rolled is measured by the 1st measuring circuit and the distances 15, 16 between the material to be rolled and the rolling rolls 1 are determined by calculation. The peripheral speeds of the upper roll 1a and the lower roll 1b are respectively detected by the 2nd, 3rd detectors 7, 9. The speed signals 13, 11 detected by said detectors and the current value signals 12, 14 detected by the 5th, 4th detectors 10, 8 are inputted to the arithmetic circuit 17. The material to be rolled is conveyed on a roller table 4 in the above-mentioned constitution and when the front end of the material arrives at the prescribed distance from the rollers 1, the bite of the material to the rolls 1 is judged and a control signal 18 is outputted from the circuit 17 to increase the rotating speed of the driving motor M or the roll 1a. The material to be rolled is consequently advanced further and when the material is actually bitten between the roll 1a and the roll 1b, the material to be rolled is rolled in the state in which the downward bending stress is kept exerted thereto.</p> |
