PURPOSE:To prevent blow-out of combustion gas by coupling a metal ring having similar thermal expansion factor with that of ceramics to the outercircumference of ceramic cylinder liner while contacting the ring endface tightly against the step section of tubular section. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic cylinder liner 10 is fitted to the cylinder 20 of metal cylinder body 9 while a sealing structure 40 is provided at the upper end section of the fitting section. In other word, an annular groove 44 is made in the outercircumference of head liner 10 and fitted with a metal ring 42 having similar thermal expansion factor with ceramics. Consequently, even upon thermal expansion of cylinder 20 to produce a gap against the liner 10, leakage of combustion gas is prevented through the contacting section between the endface 42b of metal ring 42 and the step section 47 of cylinder body 9. |
