PURPOSE:To facilitate the enlargement and to display at an odd-magnification by providing a means for frequency-dividing a horizontal synchronizing signal, a means for shifting it corresponding to the magnification, a means for delaying it, a means for selecting the delay signal and shifted one in accordance with a display field and a counter for counting the selected signal and frequency- divided signal. CONSTITUTION:With the aid of a magnification signal 31, the horizontal synchronizing signal 7 generated in a basic timing signal generating part 1 is frequency- divided at a frequency dividing part 29, and a frequency divided output pulse 32 is applied to a shift register 30 and an OR circuit 37. A signal delay part 35 delays the shifted pulse 34 to obtain an output pulse 36, which is applied to a signal selecting part 33. Based on an even field/odd field discriminating signal 27 and the magnification signal 31, the signal selecting part 33 selects any one of input pulses 34 and 36 according to the prescribed rule and set it to the input pulse 38 of the OR circuit 37, which ORs pulses 38 and 32. The counter 41 counts up outputs pulses 39 and outputs the counted value as a vertical display address.
