PURPOSE:To make possible the evaluation of a moisture-resistant life indicating correctly practicability by immersing a thick film crossover formed by printing and calcining then taking out the crossover, measuring the dielectric power factor (tandelta) thereof after drying and making the assessment of the moisture resistance. CONSTITUTION:The thick film crossover 5 is first immersed for about 12hrs into pure water 6 kept at a room temp. like (A). The crossover is then taken out of the pure water 6 and is dried for about 10hrs at the room temp. like (B). AC of, for example, about 100V, 1kHz is impressed to the thick film crossover 5 by an AC bridge 7 and the dielectric power factor tandelta thereof is measured like (C). Both the crossovers formed by high-temp. calcination and low- temp. calcination are subjected to force drying for about 60hrs at about 150 deg.C to remote thoroughly the moisture in the crossovers and thereafter the value tandelta is thoroughly restored to the value prior to the charging into the pure water. Thus this method for immersion into pure water simulates well the actual deterioration process that the crossover absorbs the moisture in the air and is deteriorated in the insulation characteristic thereof. |
