A process for preparing a powdered insecticidal composition comprising the steps of forming a silicic acid and ammonium fluosilicate mix, spraying the mix onto carrier particles of size range 100 to 500 Tyler mesh thereby producing damp sorptive particles coated with the mix in a gel form. The carrier particles are preferably inorganic sorptive particles selected from diatomaceous earth, bentonites, sub-bentonites, montmorillonites, pyrophillite, Fuller's earth, silica flour, carbon or perlite. The damp sorptive particles produced are stabilized with ammonia gas and dried. |
