PURPOSE:To prevent double identification numbers of each terminal at the starting stage by outputting the interior address to the outside through TV terminal in CATV terminal, receiving the output signal, storing the address in the semiconductor memory, and practing check-u of the already registered address through read-out from the semiconductor memory. CONSTITUTION:The terminal outputs its peculiar address data to the outside from TV output terminal by switching on the power source. The data signal is read in microcomputer 2 after arranged in a wave shape by a wave shaping circuit 1 to read a specific bit indicated by the fixed address in the semiconductor memory 5 composed of bit map from the data. When the said bit is '0' registration is already made, and when it is '1', registration isn't made yet. The result is displayed on the display unit 6 so that the operator can discriminate whether or not doubled. That matter is reported to a host computer or to CRT terminal.
