PURPOSE:To obtain an engine crank shaft angle sensor which has superior durability and is not affected by a noise by providing a light emitting and a photodetecting element in a computer for engine control and making a connection with the angle sensor through an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Light from the LED32 in the control computer 30 for the engine is led to the angle sensor 10 in an engine room through an optical fiber 40 and pulse light passed through slits arrayed in a rotary disk 13 at angular interval of 4 degrees is incident on a phototransistor 33 through a condenser lens 19, prism 18, condenser lens 22, and optical fiber 41. The angle of rotation of the crank shaft 10 is obtained by a microcomputer 31 from its output signal. |
