PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which yields moldings excellent in surface processing such as coatability, printability, and adhesion, and mechanical properties such as impact strength, by incorporating a PP resin with a modified material in which a particular ethylene copolymer, etc. is subjected to ring- opening addn. with alcohols. CONSTITUTION:25-98.5wt% ethylene, 0.5-15wt% unsatd. dicarboxylic acid anhydride (e.g., maleic anhydride), and 1-60wt% 4-12C unsatd. ester compd. [e.g., methyl (meth)acrylate] are copolymerized at a pressure of 500-3,000atm and a temp. of 100-300 deg.C in the presence of a radical generator in the presence or absence of a chain transfer agent to yield an ethylene copolymer. Said copolymer and/or its acid anhydride group is subjected to open-ring addn. with 1-20C alcohols (e.g., trimethylolpropane) by, e.g., melting and kneading to yield a modified material. 99-60pts.wt.
