PURPOSE:To control ink supply most satisfactorily by operating the pump of an ink reservoir when a rotation sliding ratio of an elastic roller against a rotation cylinder is under a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:The ink supplied from an ink supply pump is discharged from the outlets provided in one line on a supply pipe 13 and stored in the ink reservoir 14. A barrier plate 3 which is fixed to the axis of the lower plate cylinder 1 and a barrier plate 5 which is fixed to the elastic roller 15 shut off the axis of the light to the photosensors 2 and 4 once for each rotation of the above plates, therefore, the rotation speeds of the lower plate cylinder 1 and the elastic roller 15 may be detected. If the ink supply pump is operated only in case the rotation sliding ratio S of the elastic roller 15 is larger than 0.7, the quantity of the ink in the ink reservoir 14 decreases immediately before the operation, but it increases immediately after the operation is suspended, however, the thickness of the ink layer 16 which comes out onto the peripheral surface of the lower plate cylinder becomes almost constant. |
