PURPOSE:To attain the use of general-purpose of the firmware by storing the information required on signal operation in an RAM and rewriting freely the content externally in a signal control panel used for a PCM multiplex carrier equipment. CONSTITUTION:Full information required for the operation of the signal control panel CH1 is written in a RAM12. An address to select a signal Req1 requesting the control panel CH1 from a common control section 9 is inputted to a decoder DEC7 to make the signal Req1 active. When the signal control panel CH1 receives the signal Req1, the required information is read from the RAM12 and when it is finished, an acknowledgement signal Ack1 is returned to the control section 9. Thus, the control section 9 outputs an address to select a request signal Req2 to the control panel CH2 onto the DEC7. Thus, the processing the same as above is excecuted up to the control panel 30.
