The invention relates to the field of chemotherapy. It specifically relates to 4-( beta -hydroxycarbonylmethyloximido)- 2-phenylbenzopyranones of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which at least one and at most five of the substituents R2 to R7 represent a hydroxyl which is free or blocked by a glucoside functional group or a methoxy, the others representing hydrogen. R1 represents hydrogen or a hydroxyl which is free or engaged in a glucoside functional group, and Z represents a hydroxyl or a NHR radical in which R is hydrogen, a lower alkyl radical or the glycyl residue. These products, as well as their salts, are active ingredients in medicinal products, especially for the treatment of vascular disorders.
