The subject of the present invention is a device for diffusing a perfumed, deodorising or insecticidal product into the atmosphere, through the action of the heat supplied by an electric bulb 19. According to the invention, the product to be diffused is contained in a cartridge 12 which is initially closed in a sealed manner by a protective cap 14 and is bayonet-fitted into a cartridge support 7; this support 7 has one or more cutting blades 7d which penetrate into the protective cap 14 of the cartridge and form cuts 17 therein when this cartridge is fitted into the cartridge support. <IMAGE>
