PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition free from surface tackiness after removal of impregnating solvent, suitable as a thermosetting resin composition for impregnating in decorative laminates, a comprising a high-solftening point unsaturated polyester, diallyl orthophthalate prepolymer and polymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A)100pts.wt. of an unsaturated plyester with a softending temperature 50-120 deg.C prepared by the reaction between (i) fumaric acid and/or maleic acid (anhydride), (ii) isophthalic acid and/or terephthalic acid and (iii) a polyhydric alcohol 3-50 equiv. % of which has been converted to tris(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate (B) 25-300pts.wt. of a diallyl orthophthalate prepolymer with a molecular weight 500-1,500 and (C) 0.01-5pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the components (A) plus (B), of a polymerization initiator (e.g., cumene hydroperoxide).
