PURPOSE:To permit a person except a skilled worker to easily engage in electric discharge machining work, by previously storing in memory a machining process having a step combining plural control factors and automatically determining the finish surface roughness as a parameter when machining is started. CONSTITUTION:If a start instruction is input to a microcomputer 4, a plurality of machining patterns are displayed in a display 6, and a worker selects the optional machining pattern by operating a keyboard 5. Next the worker inputs by the display 6 and the keyboard 5 data of swivel shape, final machining depth, surface roughness at initial and final machining time and an electrode swivel amount. Next, a data table, previously stored in the second memory device, determines a supply power output from a control factor for determining electric discharge energy while a control factor, determining a relative movement between an electrode 1 and a work 12, to be stored in the third memory device 3, outputting a stored execution program in accordance with an advance of action in a numerically controlled electric discharge machining device 7. |
