PURPOSE:A herbicidal composition that contains, as active ingredients, a specific isoindole and ethyl 2-[2-(4-chloro-6-methoxypyrimidinylamino)carbonylaminosulf- onyl]benzoate, thus developing selective herbicidal effects against a wide variety of weeds with reduced doses. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains, as active ingredients, 2-(4- chloro-5-cyclopentyloxycarbonylmethylthio-2-fluorophen-yl)-4,5,6,7-tet rahydro-2H- isoindole-1,3-dione and ethyl [2-(4-chloro-6-methoxypyrimidinylamino)carbonyl aminosul-fonyl l]benzoate at a weight ratio of 1:(0.01-10), preferably (0.02-2). The composition is mixed with an emulsifier and other additives into a prepara tion, when applied and the concentration of the ingredients is 0.5-90%, prefer ably 2-80% in the preparation.
