PURPOSE:To improve graininess and sharpness by incorporating a coupler. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material superior in graininess, sharpness, and color reproducibility due to the interlayer effect can be obtained by forming on a support at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a coupler capable of releasing a compd. capable of capturing the oxidation product of a color developing agent at the time of reaction with said oxidation product of a color developing agent. The coupler is represented by the formula shown on the right in which A is a coupler residue to be cleft from X by reacting with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; X is 0 or S; Y is an aliphatic, aromatic, aliphatic or aromatic oxy, aliphatic or aromatic acyl group, or oxycarbonyl, sulfocarbonyl, halogen, cyano, formyl, nitro, or the like, each may be same or different when n is 2; and n is 1 or 2. |
