PURPOSE:To take an accurate measurement regardless of the fitting state of a humidity sensing body on a rotary and a fixed shaft by fitting bodies whose extension with temperature is ignored to both ends of the humidity sensing body, and magnifying and displaying the extension motion of the humidity sending body. CONSTITUTION:The bodies (e.g. aluminum foil) G1 and G2 whose extension with temperature is ignored are fitted to both ends of the humidity sensing body S. End parts E1 and E2 of those bodies are fitted to the rotary shaft and fixed body having pointers respectively, so that the distance between the end parts E1 and E2 need not be constant as long as the length of the humidity sensing body S between the bodies G1 and G2 is constant. Consequently, the constitution of the expansion type hygroscope is simplified greatly. Then, the expansion is magnified by installing a rotary shaft having a different-diameter part between the rotary shaft and fixed end having the pointers, and the obtained magnifying power is r2/r1 is the radius of the small-diameter part D1 of the rotary shaft and r2 is the radius of a large-diameter part D2. |
