[Also in Division G1] A micrometer shaft 3 (see Division G1) is keyed by a pressed up part 14 engaging in a groove 17 to an internally splined cylinder 4 which is drivingly connected to another internally splined cylinder 2 axially aligned therewith by an inside sleeve 7 having a spring finger 6 engaging in the two sets of grooves. The number of grooves in one cylinder differs by one from the number of grooves in the other to assist initial setting up of the driving and driven members for engagement. |
