PURPOSE:A binder for a mold with excellent storage stability, comprising a specified furan resin and a K or Li salt of rosin. CONSTITUTION:A binder for a mold comprising 100pts.wt. furan resin selected from among furfuryl alcohol (precondensate) and/or precondensate between furfuryl alcohol and formaldehyde, and one of these and a urea/formaldehyde condensation or reaction product, and 5-50pts.wt. K or Li salt of rosin is, if necessary, compounded with 1-20wt% silane coupling agent or water.
