PURPOSE:A system provided with a steam turbine and a turbine compressor coaxially interlocked, wherein the steam turbine is revolved with high-pressure steam from a boiler to rotate the compressor, and the exhaust steam and pressurized air are supplied to a coal gasifier. CONSTITUTION:A steam turbine 2 and a turbine compressor 3 are provided in a coaxially interlocked fashion. Said turbine is revolved by introducing high- pressure steam obtd. from a boiler 4 and said turbine compressor 3 is operated by the rotation of the turbine. The system is constituted so as to supply both exhaust steam from the turbine 2 and pressurized air from the compressor 3 to a coal gasifier 1. Thus it is possible to render the apparatus small and simple, while control relating to the two systems becomes easy.
