PURPOSE:To attain switchback carrying with simple constitution by carrying a read fluorescent sheet from the 1st carrier to the 3rd carrier, driving the 3rd carrier reversely and then carrying the sheet to the 2nd carrier positioned on the extension line of the 3rd carrier. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent sheet 80 sent from a reading part is carried upwards by the 1st roller 61 of the 1st carrier 75 and a vertical part of the 1st belt 43 and then carried into the 3rd carrier 76. The sheet 80 is detected by optical sensors 71a, 71b, the carrying of the 2nd belt 68 and the 3rd belt 65 is stopped and then rollers 66, 67, 69, 70 are reversed to carry the sheet 80 to the 2nd carrier 70. After erasing residual image picture information by an erasing part 40, the sheet 80 is reversed by the belt 43 and carried upwards through the 3rd carrier 76. Since the carrier 76 is positioned on the extension line of the carrier 77, the sheet 80 can be delivered to the erasing part while being turned upwards only by inverting the rollers and belts.
