The system comprises two flanges 1, 2 securely fastened in a rotational manner to a hub 4, one 1 of the flanges being translationally fixed and the other flange 2 being movable with respect to the hub 4, the two flanges defining a variable groove at the bottom of which a ring 10, mounted so as to idle on the hub 4, is provided in order to receive the inner face of the belt 8 on its outer face when the flanges are moved away from one another in the unclutched position; according to the invention, the outer face of the ring 10 and the inner face of the belt 8 comprise complementary circumferential profiles 7, 11 for locking in translation, consisting of a collar 7 and a groove 11. <IMAGE>
