A collapsible stackable container, preferably of aluminium, comprises a rectangular base 10 having an upwardly-facing channel 24 around its edge and a depending leg 27 in each corner, a pair of side walls 12, 14 seated in the channel on two sides of the base, a pair of end walls 16, 18 seated in the channel on the other two sides of the base and having side channel members 46 that engage the edges of the side walls, interengaging means 38, 48 for interlocking the end walls into the side walls, a top 20 having a depending flange 56 to engage the periphery of the side and end walls, and lock means 80, 82 to hold the end walls in the bottom wall and the top wall on the end wall. When knocked-down, the side and end walls are stacked between the legs on the inverted bottom and the top fastened to the bottom by the clip means 80. The legs are recessed at 31 for stacking and the top has wear plates 60. Walls and top may be corrugated, and walls ventilated for livestock, or insulated. |
