The control valve is designed for switching a sample fluid between an analyser and an outlet path (13). It has a housing (1) which can be attached sealingly onto a sample-fluid feed conduit (3) and which is provided, for receiving the sample-fluid feed conduit (3), with a bore (2) into which one end of a capillary (8) projects and, furthermore, a first control-fluid conduit (12) opens, and from which a discharge channel (13) extends. The capillary (8) is accommodated concentrically in the passage bore (7) in a lining tube (6) connected to the valve housing (1) and possesses, in the vicinity of its introduction into the housing bore (2), a wall perforation (15) for introducing control fluid into the capillary bore via a second control-fluid conduit (14). By applying an approximately equal control-fluid pressure both to the housing bore (2) and to the capillary bore, with the discharge channel (13) closed, a direct throughflow of the sample fluid from the feed conduit (3) to the outflow end (8'') on the capillary (8) is achieved, whilst, after the discharge channel (13) has been opened and a higher control pressure applied to the capillary bore (15), the capillary (8) is shut off for the sample fluid and the latter flows off via the discharge channel (13). <IMAGE>
