PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a driving element and to attain to conserve driving power, by converting the detection signal of a sensor to a digital display data and applying ON/OFF control to the drive current of a bimetal meter in the duty ratio corresponding to said data. CONSTITUTION:The predetermined physical quantity detected by a capacity sensor 1 is inputted to a digital operational processing means 4 such as a microcomputer and subjected to predetermined data processing by digital operational processing to be converted to display data. This display data is inputted to a duty control circuit 6 to generate a pulse signal having a duty ratio corresponding to display data. The drive circuit 7 inserted in the current supply control circuit of the bimetal meter 8 receives ON/OFF control on the basis of said pulse signal to display the display data on the bimetal meter 8.
