PURPOSE:To make possible the continuous and efficient recording and reading of radiation image information by circulating a sheet between an image recording part, image reading part and erasing device by a conveying means and using repeatedly the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The radiation of a radiation source 10 in a photographing part 4 is transmitted through a subject 11 and is made incident to a storable phosphor sheet 1 and the radiation image information of the subject 11 is stored and recorded to the sheet 1. The photographed sheet 1 is conveyed along a prescribed passage 2 toward an arrow A by a circulative conveying means 3 and enters the image reading part 5, by which reading is executed. The sheet 1 subjected to the reading is conveyed by a conveying means 8 to the erasing device 7, by which the information is erased. The sheet 1 after the erasing is fed by a conveying means 9 to the photographing part 4 where the sheet is subjected to the photographing. The sheet 1 is circulated between the photographing part 4, the reading part 5 and the erasing device 7 in the above- mentioned manner, by which the continuous and efficient recording and reading of the radiation image information is executed.
