PURPOSE:To improve the life of a bearing by forming a cooling groove of an inner race of a bearing in such a manner as to be gradually enlarged under extending from the oil supply side to the oil drain side, and making the total open area of holes of an oil supply side lubricating path smaller than that of an oil drain side lubricating path. CONSTITUTION:Cooling grooves 12 of an inner race 8 of a bearing are formed to be tapered or trumpet-shaped in such a manner as to be gradually enlarged extending from oil supply side to oil drain side. An oil supply side lubricating path 14a has smaller hole diameter than an oil drain side lubricating path 14b or the smaller number of holes in the path 14a than the path 14b so that the total open are of holes of the oil supply side lubricating path 14a is smaller than that of the oil drain side lubricating path 14b. In this arrangement, oil is easy to flow to the oil drain side, so that quantity of lubricating oil is substantially equal on the oil drain side and on the oil supply side. Accordingly, there is no fear of abrasion at the end surface to improve the life of a bearing. |
