PURPOSE:To obtain an image freed of fringes using a light liable to interference by incorporating a specified element and a conductivity governing substance in a light receiving layer specified in structure and formed on a substrate, forming nonparallel planes in minute areas, and arranging a number of said planes in one direction perpendicular to the film thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:The first layer 1002 made of a-SiGe, the second photoconductive layer 1003 made of a-Si, and a reflection-preventive layer 1006 are laminated on a conductive substrate 1001 in succession to form the light receiving layer 1000 of multilayer structure. A conductivity governing substance is incorporated in at least one of the layers 1002 and 1003, and at least one kind of O, C, and N elements is incorporated in the layer 1000. One pair or more of nonparallel planes formed in each minute area are arranged in a large number in at least one direction perpendicular to the film thickness direction. The use of such a light receiving layer 1000 permits interference fringes not to occur in the case of using monochromatic light liable to interference, therefore, this light receiving material to be adapted to image formation using such a light, to cause no spot at the time of reversing the image, and to be enhanced in the use efficiency of incident light. |
