摘要 PURPOSE:To measure easily and exactly a position by combining a does rate measuring device and distance measuring device by a light beam. CONSTITUTION:A building, floor and block numbers, etc. are selected by an area selector button 10 and are displayed on an area display part provided in a dose rate display device 4. The measuring point numbers, etc. in the positions of the marks, etc. put preliminarily as measuring points to the piping or apparatus which is the radiation source in said measuring area and the dose rate in said positions are displayed on the device 4 so as to face said marks, etc. by the similar operation. On the other hand, the operator selects a bearing by a distance measuring switch and operates the distance measuring device B. Then the light beam is emitted toward the measuring point mark from a light emitting device 5 and the reflected light is detected by a photodetector 6. The pass distance of the light is calculated from the time difference between the emission of said light and the detection thereof and further the linear distance between the radiation measuring instrument and the measuring point is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 8 from the pass distance of the light and the distance between the instrument 5 and the photodetector 6. The bearing and distance are displayed on a distance display device 9.
