摘要 PURPOSE:To attain economical communication by using the same element as a light emitting and a photodetector so as to attain less optical loss and simple and solid structure. CONSTITUTION:The circuit consists of buffer memories 1, 2 storing tentatively a transmission signal, cynchronizing signal generators 3, 4, buffer memories 5, 6 storing tentatively a reception signal, switches 7, 8 switching transmission and reception and an optical fiber 11. Transmission/reception switching control signals c, d commanding the changeover of the switches 7, 8 are outputted from the synthronizing signal generators 3, 4. A transmissoin control timing is inputted to the synchronizing 3 of a telephone station A from a transmissoin control timing signal input terminal 10. Further, the telephone station side and the subscriber's side of the optical fiber 11 are provided respectively with laser diodes 12, 13, bias circuits 14, 15 applying a bias voltage to the laser diodes 12, 13 input the transmission/reception switching control signals c, d and are controlled synchronously therewith.
