In order to reduce cost and increase the optical effectiveness in a laminated safety glass consisting of two glass panes (1, 2) bonded together via an intermediate layer (3) it is proposed, as replacement for wires in order to make the glass surface visible, to arrange a strip pattern or grid pattern of colourant on the inner side of at least one of the panes (1) and/or (2) or on the intermediate layer (3). An efficient and precise arrangement of the pattern can be achieved, for example, by printing on.
