A video magnetic-tape apparatus which serves for the troublefree reverse playback of recorded television scenes is proposed. For this purpose, the video magnetic-tape apparatus comprises a scanning device, around which the magnetic tape is led in the manner of an omega loop and is scanned from the inside by at least one rotating magnetic head, the magnetic tape being kept on reels - preferably in a cassette - and able to be brought out into the operating path by means of a loading mechanism, which comprises two oppositely driven loading rings arranged around the scanning device, on which rings there are provided tape-transporting and/or guiding devices which, in the position of rest, engage behind the magnetic tape, the tape-transporting and guiding devices arranged on the outer loading ring comprising a lever which is arranged movably on the loading ring and bears at its free end a tape extracting pin and, close to this, a rotatably mounted rubber pinch roller, as well as a second lever, which is mounted close to the mounting of the first lever and has at the free end a tape tensioning pin which, in the operating position of the loading mechanism, takes the magnetic tape away from the tape pinch roller, and a further lever, mounted concentrically with respect to the tape pinch roller, with a tape tensioning pin at the free end, which pin lies close to the tape extracting pin in the position of rest of the loading mechanism and touches the magnetic tape between the tape extracting pin and the tape tensioning pin in the operating position of the loading mechanism ...
