PURPOSE:To lengthen a life of a storage battery, and make it easy to mechanize the producing process, by retreating a core bar from the end surface of a solidified active material. CONSTITUTION:After a tube 1 is filled up with an active material 3, this material 3 is solidified by soaking it in sulfuric acid, then a part of this solidified active material is powdered close to the lower end 2' of a core bar 2, by a machine tool such as a drill, and taken off, after that, resin 4 is projected and molded in the hollow part so as to fill the bottom of the tube 1. As the material 3 is solidified, it does not occur that said resin 4 presses the tube 1 from the inside according to the projecting/molding, and breaks the tube 1. Because the processing is performed so as that the distance from the lower end 2' of the core bar 2 to the end 3' of the processed solidified active material 3 is enough as the end 2' does not pierce through the end 3' even if the core bar 2 is lengthened during the long use, the tube 1 is not broken by the extension of the core bar 2, and this storage battery can stand long use. |
