PURPOSE:To obtain a multiple-time use type thermal transfer recording medium prevented from curling due to the contraction of an ink layer and good running property, by providing an ink layer, which is constituted by dispersing and mixing heat-meltable ink solid at ambient temp. and a heat resistant fine denier staple fiber, to the surface of a base material. CONSTITUTION:As a fine denier staple fiber, one with a diameter of about 0.1-7mum, a length of about 10mum-2mm and an aspect ratio of about 50:1 is pref. and has heat resistance generating no deformation a the softening and melting points of heat-meltable ink and is not compatible with the heat-meltable ink. The heat-meltable ink comprises usual wax, a heat-meltable resin and a colorant and about 1-6pts.vol. of the fine denier staple fiber is dispersed and mixed in 20pts.vol. of the ink. In this case, about 2-30pts.vol. of a binder is pref. added to 5pts.vol. of the fine denier staple fiber. The dispersion mixture is applied to a base material such as a plastic film or high density paper in a dry coating amount of about 10-20g/m<2>. |
