PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts and to eliminate the laboriousness of operation by making common use of one key as a key for selecting paper feed cassettes disposed in two upper and lower stages and a key for selecting paper sizes. CONSTITUTION:A paper size selecting button 61 is provided in a paper feed cassette selecting part 60 so that modes are successively changed over to the upper cassette selecting mode, APS mode (automatic paper selecting mode) and lower cassette selecting mode. The upper cassette is selected and an upper cassette feed routine is started when the operator pushes the button 61 after throwing a power source. A lower cassette feed routine is similarly started when the operator pushes twice the button. The corresponding paper according to the original and the magnification selected by a magnification change button 53 is selected from the upper of lower cassette when the APS mode is selected. The change-over of the operation is thus made possible with the same key and therefore the operating efficiency is improved.
