<p>PURPOSE:To fully damp the kick-back from a wheel side by comprising two liquid pressure chambers in an external cylindrical body arranged on the external circumference of a rack bar and connecting these liquid pressure chambers to each other through an orifice. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder chamber 9 is formed in an external cylindrical body 7 arranged on the external circumference of a rack bar. The cylinder chamber 9 is divided into two liquid pressure chambers 9a and 9b by a cylindrical heavy- weight member 11 that is elastically supported on the rack bar 2 through an elastic member 10 such as rubber. The external circumferential surface of the heavy-weight member 11 makes contact with the internal circumferential surface of the external cylinder 7 through a liquid tight member 12 such as an O-ring. Besides, the liquid pressure chambers 9a and 9b are connected to each other by an orifice 13 formed on the rack bar 2. When a heavy weight 11 is moved suddenly by the sudden movement of the rack bar 2, the liquid pressure in one of the liquid pressure chambers is increased suddenly and a damper effect can be obtained by the orifice effect.</p> |
