PURPOSE:To prevent abrupt lowering of roll for applying tension onto a paper thus to eliminate paper cut by rotating a stopper roller for blocking carriage of paper after jointing of paper while resetting a clamp cylinder and releasing paper stop. CONSTITUTION:Upon shrinkage of roll 2 as the paper 1 is fed out, a clamp cylinder 17 is first functioned to push the paper 1 with a stopper roll 18 thus to block feeding. At the same time, a geared motor 21 coupled with the lower sprocket 10 is declutched to lift an elevatable roll 8 through tensile force T in next process thus to feed out V-shaped section of paper 1. During this interval, the leading edge of roll 3 is jointed through a jointing press 16 to the end of paper 1. Then the stopper roll 18 is rotated by a motor 20 to reset the clamp cylinder 17 thus to release pushing against paper 1. At the same time, the geared motor 21 is clutched to lower said roll 8 with low speed. |
