PURPOSE:To provide a rutin-containing colorant containing a carbonate or basic amino acid, and useful as a greenish yellow colorant in the field of pharmaceuticals and foods. CONSTITUTION:The objective colorant can be prepared by compounding 1pt.(wt.) of rutin preferably with 0.3-1.0pt. of a carbonate (e.g. sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, etc.) or 0.5-1.5pts. of a basic amino acid (e.g. arginine, lysine, ornithine, etc.). |
