PURPOSE:To produce a branching device for optical fiber with a high precision and a low cost by using a pair of pressuring rotating rolls, whose surfaces forming grooves shaped to the branching device are provided on, to form a continuous body of branching devices. CONSTITUTION:A pair of pressuring rotating rolls 1 and 1' are used, and forming grooves 3 shaped to an objective branching device are provided on their surfaces in continuous forms, and they are rotated in opposite directions while contacting with each other. Fused forming materials are supplied successively to the gap part between rolls 1 and 1' to form the continuous body of branching devices, and this continuous body is cut in prescribed positions to obtain desired branching devices. |
