PURPOSE:To curtail amount of information to be processed, by recording and reproducing map information centering around intersections with a recorder/ reproducer in which a plurality of tracks are formed along the length of a magnetic tape to add a synchronous signal and an errors correction code to the information indicating intersections. CONSTITUTION:Information read out of a recorder/reproducer 2 in which a plurality of tracks are formed along the length of a magnetic tape is designed to mainly indicate intersections and is allowed to be stored into a buffer memory 3 by starting an information processor 1 by the operation of an input unit 5 and a running route is designated with a light pen 8 on a map on a display 7 given by the operation of the unit 5. Then, after the starting of the vehicle, the ongoing direction with a sensor 4 and the running distance are fed to the processor 1 to be compared with intersection addressing information and a course guidance is made by a voice of a speaker 6 according to the results of the comparison while the current position and the running orbit are shown on a display 7 as required to add a synchronous signal and an error detection correcting code to information of the unit 2. |
