A fabric-softening detergent additive with improved prevention of soil redeposition and reduced incrustation contains (a) 1-80% by weight of one or more smectite clay minerals from the group comprising montmorillonite, beidellite, hectorite, nontronite and synthetic clay minerals; (b) 1-80% by weight of one or more quaternary ammonium salts of the formula <IMAGE> in which the symbols have the following meanings: R1 and R2, which can be identical to or different from one another, are substituted or unsubstituted alkyl groups with 10 to 22 carbon atoms, aralkyl groups with 1 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical, aryl groups or substituted phenol groups; R3 and R4, which can be identical to or different from one another, are alkyl groups with 1 to 3 carbon atoms; X<(-)> is an anion of an acid; (c) 1-80% by weight of one or more tertiary amines of the formula <IMAGE> in which R5 and R6, which can be identical to or different from one another, are substituted or unsubstituted alkyl groups with, in each case, 10 to 22 carbon atoms, and the average value of n is between > 1 and 10. |
