PURPOSE:To reduce the number of thermal head preparing processes and to obtain a thermal head with high reliability by increasing corrosion resistant effect by coating the entire surface of an Al-terminal part with Ni, by altering a conductor terminal part manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION:A glaze layer 2, a heat generating layer 3 and a conductive layer 4 comprising aluminum or an aluminum alloy are successively laminated onto an insulating substrate 1 and, in the head surface 12 contacted with recording paper under pressure in these two-dimensional planes, a part of the conductive layer 4 is removed in a pattern like form and an oxidation resistant layer 6 and an abrasion resistant layer 7 are successively laminated thereto. In the terminal part 16 adjacent to the head surface 12, a nickel layer 14 is plated so as to surround the conductive layer 4 extending from the head surface 12 and a solder layer 15 is provided on said layer 14. |
