PURPOSE:To improve controllability, by enabling a value of individual study item, study corrected on the basis of an air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient, to be corrected at each study to the center side of a correction limit range by a value corresponding to an averaged change from a reference value of these study items. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is in operation, a control circuit 56 controls an injection quantity of fuel from a fuel injection valve 30 on the basis of a product obtained by a feedback correction coefficient, determined for aligning air-fuel ratio to the theoretical air fuel ratio, and an air-fuel ratio study value corrected for holding a value of the coefficient within a predetermined range. Here the above described study value has plural study values studied in each of the plural operative ranges, further each study value has a common study item in the whole operative range and an individual study item in each range. And on the basis of said correction coefficient, if it is within the predetermined range, the control circuit, correcting the individual study item, both subtracts a deviation, between an averaged value of the whole individual study item and its reference value, from each individual study item and adds the deviation to the common study item. |
