FIXING METHOD OF PIPE

PURPOSE:To surely fasten a resin member main body and a pipe and at the same time improve the fastening force and workability of fixing work by a method wherein the resin member main body and the pipe are induction-heated after the pipe is fitted in the hole of the resin member main body. CONSTITUTION:A round or polyhedral hole 5 is provided in a resin member main body 4. On the other hand, a flat plate with a plurality of fastening holes 7 is worked by pressing, rolling or the like into a pipe 6 having a round or polyhedral form, the diameter of which is a little large than that of the hole 5, by means of a press. Next, when the pipe 6 is pressed into the hole 5, the outer periphery of the pipe 6 follows suit on the inner periphery of the hole 5 under the state that the tension is confined in the strain of the outer periphery of the pipe. When the pipe 6 and the hole 5 under the condition as just mentioned above is induction-heated by an oscillating coil 8, the portion of the resin member main body 4 at the hole 5 turns to melt, resulting in expanding the pipe 6 to its original outside diameter by the confined tension and causing resin to flow in the fastening holes 7 by the amount corresponding to the difference between the volume determined by the inner periphery of the hole 5 and that determined by the expanded outer periphery of the pipe 6 so as to realize the sure fastening after cooling between the pipe 6 and the resin member main body 4.
