<p>PURPOSE:To improve the separability of a label by adding inorganic powder material in treated liquid when the label is separated at a high speed mixer from a PET bottle. CONSTITUTION:When waste pieces of a crushed PET bottle are introduced into high speed mixer such as a Henschel mixer or a super mixer provided with stirring blades at the center section of the bottle, they are heated by mechanical friction action produced by broken pieces and separated into polyester resin pieces and label paper sheets by the use of thermally softening properties of polyester resin, inorganic powder material is introduced into the mixer with the broken pieces to separate into the polyester resin and the label paper sheets through the inorganic powder material. The label paper sheets are separated by air-blow selection and the resin is cleaned by water, dried to recover the polyester resin only. The inorganic powder material, which is settled out in the water portion separated by cleaning, is dried and recovered for reuse.</p> |
