The invention relates to a refuse collecting vehicle having two separate chambers which are situated one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are for different types of refuse and having an ejection board which is situated in the rear chamber and can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Known refuse collecting vehicles with two chambers for different types of refuse have fixed chamber sizes, so that the refuse collecting session has to be terminated in each case when one chamber is filled. According to the invention, a refuse collecting vehicle which can be individually adapted to the occurrence of different types of refuse is devised, in which the front chamber is designed so as to be open facing the ejection board and the ejection board can be displaced right into the front chamber. The size of the chamber which accommodates the type of refuse which occurs more frequently can be individually increased by displacement of the ejection board, the other chamber becoming correspondingly smaller.
